Today we had our performance, which I had mixed feelings about. As our group went to our site we saw an initial problem- there was a show on in the Obie so people were constantly walking through our space and there was a lot of noise. It was also lunch time for the rest of the school so our site was also filled with people eating their lunches, which was a bit annoying at the time, but was fine as lunch didn't end too soon after. When trying to do a full run through it was often disrupted by things and people coming through our space so we were unable to do a full run through which I think effected the links of our final piece.
When doing the piece Ruby and my individual piece went quite badly wrong as we missed quite a large part out, which made it very short. However, I think the noises we recreated were good and they added something more than just words to our piece, which made it more interesting to watch. Yet, I am aware that it was very short and that for some of it we had our back to the audience which would of made it confusing to watch. I know that Ruby and I's individual piece did not fully get there which is disappointing, but I believe it is because we both struggled finding inspiration from where our site was. As Ruby and I leave the site at the end of our piece I was unable to see how the rest of the performance went but I am aware that we should of met up more as a group to make the piece more concrete as I felt like we were all a bit unsure on what we were doing at times.
